How to Start a Travel Enterprise in Dubai

Tour Guide License

A tour guide provides guidance and accompanies tourists to key destinations in Dubai. To operate legally, a tour guide must have an in-depth knowledge of tourist attractions, as well as insight into the culture and history of the Emirates. The DTCM issues the Tour Guide License badge, which is mandatory for all tour guides in Dubai. Applicants must complete the Tour Guide Award program, and the license is valid for one year, requiring annual renewal. Renewal can only occur if the guide participates in the DTCM-approved annual refresher program. Failure to renew for two consecutive years may result in penalties as specified by the DTCM.
